CFPB Changes TRID Effective Date Again

Best-Florida-Mortgage-Companies-TRIDThe Consumer Financial Protection Bureau recently proposed to extend the effective date of the TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosures  rule from Aug. 1 to Oct. 1, 2015. Now the CFPB is requesting it to take effect Oct. 3 and is asking for comments on this proposal.

Any comments you would like to make on the proposal must be received by July 7, according the proposal. They may be submitted by any of the steps listed below, and they must be “identified by Docket No. CFPB-2015-0029 or RIN 3170-AA48.”

  • Instructions: All submissions should include the agency name and docket number or Regulatory Information Number (RIN) for this rulemaking. Because paper mail in the Washington, DC area and at the Bureau is subject to delay, commenters are encouraged to submit comments electronically. In general, all comments received will be posted without change to In addition, comments will be available for public inspection and copying at 1275 First Street NE., Washington, DC 20002, on official business days between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern Time.
