Florida Mortgage Firm is committed to protecting the privacy of its customers’ and potential customers’ personal and financial information, including Non-Public Personal Information.

Non-Public Personal Information (NPI) is any “personally identifiable financial information” that a financial institution collects about an individual in connection with providing a financial product or service, unless that information is otherwise “publicly available.”

NPI is:

  • any information an individual gives you to get a financial product or service (for example, name, address, income, Social Security number, or other information on an application);
  • any information you get about an individual from a transaction involving your financial product(s) or service(s) (for example, account numbers, payment history, loan or deposit balances, and credit or debit card purchases); or
  • any information you get about an individual in connection with providing a financial product or service (for example, information from court records or from a consumer report).

NPI does not include information that you have a reasonable basis to believe is lawfully made “publicly available.” In other words, information is not NPI when you have taken steps to determine:

  • that the information is generally made lawfully available to the public; and
  • that the individual can direct that it not be made public and has not done so.

Florida Mortgage Firm does not collect Non-Public Personal Information about the consumer when the consumer visits the website unless the consumer has voluntarily chosen to provide the information. As you browse FlaMortgageFirm.com and its affiliate sites, advertising cookies will be placed on your device so that we can understand what you are interested in.

Assigning a cookie doesn’t provide Florida Mortgage Firm access to your device or any of the information stored on it.  Most web browsers allow you to customize your preferences and limit or reject cookies.  If you choose to do this, it may interfere with your ability to use all the features of the website.

Our third-party display advertising partner then enables us to present you with retargeting advertising on other sites based on your previous interaction with Florida Mortgage Firm. The techniques our partners employ do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, postal address or telephone number. You can visit this page to opt out of targeted advertising.

The site collects anonymous data (such as information about the consumer’s browser, operating system, internet service provider, IP address) about the users of the site and aggregates that data to perform statistical analysis.

We collect some personal information, such as name, phone number, email, etc., via forms that you may voluntarily fill out. We will not sell or rent this information, but rather use it to send you information about which you requested. Regular non-encrypted email is not secure, and consumers should not send personal or account information via email.

One form where such information is collected is our application form for a prequalification. The application is encrypted to maintain the security of the information. Florida Mortgage Firm will only obtain a credit report upon receipt of an application if the consumer gives permission from within the form, or via email, text, or verbally prior to pulling credit.

Employees involved with the originating and processing of mortgage loans have access to the information collected on application, including Non-Public Personal Information.

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, Florida Mortgage Firm uses security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured filings and buildings.

We don’t profit from advertising revenue on our websites. This means we don’t have to balance preserving your information and increasing our advertising revenue.

Occasionally, we may also share some of this information with third-party service providers. We can share your information for (1) our everyday business purposes such as to process your transactions, maintain your account(s), respond to court orders and legal investigations, or report to credit bureaus; and for (2) our marketing purposes to offer our products and services to you. You can limit sharing for marketing purposes (details at bottom).

Florida Mortgage Firm is not responsible for the privacy practices of any third parties or their websites. Consumers should review the privacy policy of each website that collects information from the consumer.

This website also offers Planning Tools such as mortgage-payment calculators. The only information it asks for is an email in the event you want it sent to you. We do not store your information in any other manner from these Tools.
